Canlyniadau TGAU 2017

Hoffwn longyfarch holl ddisgyblion a staff Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Morgannwg ar ganlyniadau TGAU arbennig eleni. Yn dilyn canlyniadau Safon Uwch gwych yr wythnos ddiwethaf braf yw nodi bod 67% o ddisgyblion yr ysgol wedi llwyddo i sicrhau’r Trothwy Lefel 2+ (5 TGAU gan gynnwys Cymraeg neu Saesneg a Mathemateg) a bod 83% o ddisgyblion wedi sicrhau 5 neu fwy o gymhwysterau Lefel 2. Mewn cyfnod lle bu newidiadau cwricwlaidd sylweddol a disgyblion yn sefyll arholiadau allanol ar eu newydd gwedd braf yw nodi bod 25% o’r garfan wedi llwyddo i ennill pump neu fwy o raddau A*/A gan gynnwys Mathemateg a Saesneg neu Gymraeg sy’n dyst i holl ymdrechion yr adrannau. Testun balchder i ni fel ysgol yw bod pob un disgybl yn gadael â chymhwyster. Mae disgyblion o bob gallu wedi llwyddo ac maent yn haeddu dathlu eu cyflawniad.

GCSE Results 2016

 

I wish to congratulate all pupils and staff of Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Morgannwg on the impressive GCSE results announced today. Following an excellent set of A level results last week, it is with pleasure I announce that 67% of pupils gained the Level 2+ (5 GCSEs including Welsh or English and Mathematics) and that 83% of pupils have gained five or more Level 2 qualifications. The past two years have seen significant changes in the GCSE courses and it is pleasing to note that 25% of the cohort achieved 5 or more A* / A grades which included Mathematics and English or Welsh and is testimony to the endeavours of the departments. We are extremely pleased that every pupil will leave the school this year with a qualification. Pupils of all abilities have succeeded and deserve to celebrate their success.

Canlyniadau Lefel A/ A Level Results

Disgyblion Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Morgannwg yn llwyddo i gynnal safonau uchel yn eu harholiadau Safon Uwch eleni eto

 

Mae disgyblion, rhieni, athrawon a Llywodraethwyr yn dathlu canlyniadau Safon Uwch ardderchog yn Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Morgannwg eleni gyda 100% o ddisgyblion yn sicrhau 2 neu fwy o gymwysterau Safon Uwch A*-E.  Llwyddodd 92% o ddisgyblion i sicrhau 3 neu fwy A*-E tra llwyddodd 80% o’r flwyddyn i sicrhau 3 neu fwy  A*-C.  Roedd 27.3% o holl raddau y disgyblion yn raddau A*-A. Sicrhaodd y Fagloriaeth Gymraeg ar ei ffurf newydd bod 66% o ddisgyblion yn sicrhau gradd A*-C, bod 18% yn raddau A*-A ac o’r 8 gradd BTEC graddiwyd 7 ohonynt yn Anrhydedd.

 

Hoffwn longyfarch Elen Dafydd ar sicrhau 4A* gan lwyddo i barhau a’i hastudiaethau yn yr LSE. Ymfalchiwn yn llwyddiant dau ddisgybl eleni sydd wedi bod yn llwyddiannus yn eu ceisiadau i brifysgolion Rhydychen a Chaergrawnt.  Bydd Nia Fenn, a sicrhaodd 3A* ac 1A yn mynd i Goleg Keble, Rhydychen i astudio Gwyddorau Dynol.  Bydd Caleb Darwin yn astudio Gwyddorau Gwleidyddol, Cymdeithasol a Dynol ar ol sicrhau 2A* a 2A.  Llwyddodd Caleb i ennill Ysgoloriaeth Gwalia eleni fel canlyniad i’w berfformiadau academaidd.

 

Llwyddodd Lois Aled i sicrhau 2A* a 4A a bydd yn astudio cwrs meddygol ym Mryste, bydd Brendan Scott yn astudio mathemateg yng Nghaerfaddon ar ol sicrhau 3A*, tra llwyddodd Jac Evans i sicrhau 2A* ac 1A, Rhodri Davies 2A* a 2A, Alys Griffiths 1A* a 2A, Niamh Cooper 1A* a 3A a Ben Brown 1A* a 2A.  Llongyfarchiadau mawr i bob un ohonoch yn y flwyddyn a pob dymuniad da yn y dyfodol.

 

Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Morgannwg pupils maintain a very high pass record at A Level

 

Pupils, parents, teachers and Governors at Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Morgannwg are celebrating excellent A Level examination results this year as the school achieves a pass rate of 100% of pupils achieving 2 or more A Levels at A*-E.  92% of pupils gained 3 or more A Levels at A*-E whilst 80% of the year group gained 3 or more A Levels at A*-C.  27.3% of all grades were A*-A.  The Welsh Baccalaureate in its new format is a particular strength of the school with 66% of all pupils gaining A*-C grades, 18% gaining A*-A grades and of the 8 BTEC grades achieved 7 were graded at Distinction level.

 

I wish to congratulate in particular Elen Dafydd for gaining 4A*grades thus gaining entry to the London School of Economics.  We are delighted that we have two students this year who have been successful in their applications to Oxford and Cambridge Universities. Nia Fenn, who achieved three A* grades and one A grade, will be attending Keble College, Oxford, to read Human Sciences. Having achieved two A* grades and two A grades, Caleb Darwin will read Human, Social and Political Sciences at Trinity College, Cambridge. Caleb has also been awarded a Gwalia scholarship by his college as a result of his academic performance.

 

Lois Aled excelled with 2A* and 4A grades and will pursue a Medical course in Bristol.  Brendan Scott also excelled gaining 3A* grades and will study mathematics at Bath University.  Other students who achieved extremely high grades are Jac Evans with 2A* and 1A, Rhodri Davies 2A* and 2A, Alys Griffiths 1A* and 2A grades, Niamh Cooper with 1A* and 3A grades and Ben Brown 1A* and 2A grades. Congratulations to all the pupils and staff and we wish all pupils every success in the future.  Well done!
